Ok cut the cameras! It’s time to stop being nice and start getting real.
On Sunday night Tyler the Creator had a pretty amazing showing at the 62nd Annual Grammys. He put on what was one of the best performances of the night — and boy were there many — and then picked up a trophy for Best Urban Contemporary Album. While he felt that the award itself was a bit of a backhanded compliment (points were made) it still was a cause for celebration.
“My Boyfriend Just Won A Grammy,” Jaden Smith wrote to Twitter. Girl say what?!
We’ve done this whole Jaden Smith and Tyler the Creator thing before. Back in 2018, Smith went to Tyler’s festival, Camp Flog Gnaw in Los Angeles to profess that “Tyler’s my motherfucking boyfriend and he’s been my motherfucking boyfriend my whole life.”
He followed it up with a tweet sayin there’s no need to deny it now. Still, it seemed like a bit of an outdated, overdone joke. And now, years later, he’s bringing it back?
Tyler for one has confused the world in regards to his sexuality for some time. For years, he seemed to troll us all, winking or playing at being gay and then throwing up a “just kidding” disclaimer. But recently, that JK has fallen away. Like take that time he told GQ: “I like girls, I just end up fucking their brother every time.”
Maybe Willow can shed some light on the situation?
